1. Data Sources
Every FinThread report is grounded in data from authoritative, publicly available sources. We never fabricate financial metrics — all figures are pulled directly from the APIs below.
SEC EDGAROfficial US filings — 10-K (annual), 10-Q (quarterly), 8-K (material events). Accessed via the SEC XBRL API. Same data used by institutional buy-side analysts.
Real-Time Market DataReal-time and end-of-day quotes, fundamentals (P/E, EPS, dividend yield, market cap), technical indicators (RSI, MACD, SMA), and historical OHLCV prices for US and MENA markets.
Macroeconomic DataOfficial macroeconomic context: Federal Funds Rate, CPI, GDP, Unemployment, 10Y Treasury Yield, VIX, USD/EUR exchange rate. Sourced from official government data repositories. Refreshed every 6 hours.
MENA Exchange DataBourse de Casablanca (Morocco · BVC), Tadawul (Saudi Arabia), Dubai Financial Market / Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (UAE), Egyptian Exchange (EGX), Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE). Data may carry up to 15 minutes delay depending on exchange rules.
Financial NewsRecent headlines aggregated from financial news aggregators for sentiment analysis. Used to inform AI insights only — not as standalone investment signals.
2. AI Model — What It Does (and Does Not) Do
FinThread uses an enterprise-grade AI analysis engine trained on structured financial data. The model receives real primary data and generates analysis — it never calculates or estimates financial metrics itself. All figures are sourced directly from official primary data feeds before being passed to the analysis engine.
→Financial metrics (P/E, dividend yield, revenue) are sourced from official primary data feeds and SEC EDGAR — the AI is explicitly instructed never to calculate or guess these values.
→The AI generates the investment thesis, scenario analysis (bull/base/bear), risk assessment, and key insights based on the real data provided.
→Conviction scores range from 0 to 100 and follow a defined scale: < 40 Do Not Initiate · 40–60 Watch · 60–75 Accumulate · 75–90 BUY · > 90 Strong BUY.
→Sentiment scores (0–100) reflect news tone and technical/fundamental picture combined.
→All AI outputs are validated against a strict JSON schema. If a required field is missing or implausible, the system rejects the response and retries.
3. Report Structure
Every generated report follows a consistent, institutional-grade structure:

4. Limitations — What You Must Know
⚠Reports reflect data available at the moment of generation. Market conditions can change within minutes.
⚠MENA market data (BVC, Tadawul, DFM, EGX, QSE) may carry up to 15 minutes of exchange-imposed delay.
⚠AI analysis is probabilistic, not deterministic. The same ticker can produce different analysis on different days based on news and data changes.
⚠Conviction scores and price targets are model outputs — they do not constitute buy or sell recommendations.
⚠News sentiment analysis depends on English-language sources. Coverage of MENA-language news is limited.
